Neurology Services Offered at BRVS:

Neurological Evaluation

Thorough neurologic exam helps localize where the neurologic system is affected (brain, spinal cord, peripheral nerves/muscles). This allows for precise diagnostics and treatment options.

MRI

MRI is the best imaging modality to evaluate/view the brain, spinal cord, nerve roots, and other major nerves. MRI is non-invasive, however, anesthesia is required.

Neurosurgery

We offer all neurosurgical procedures, including decompressive surgery for disc herniation, spinal cord and brain tumor removals, AA luxation, Foramen Magnum decompression, VP shunt placement for hydrocephalus, and spinal fracture stabilization.

Other Diagnostic Services

To help evaluate comprehensive health, other diagnostics can be performed:

  • Blood work and urinalysis
  • Radiographs (X-rays)
  • Abdominal ultrasound
  • Myelogram
  • CT Scan- Coming Soon

Seizure Management

There are many seizure control medications available. Choosing a medication varies by patient and consultation can help maximize control.

Muscle/Nerve Biopsies

These are diagnostic tests that allow identification of more rare diseases affecting the peripheral nerves, the nerve-muscle junction, and muscles.
